  1. Introduction

Palar Agricultural College, Melpatti, in collaboration with the Government Hospital, Gudiyatham, successfully organized an Adolescent Education and Awareness Programme. The session focused on critical themes relevant to youth: “Drug Abuse, Phone Impact on Students, Anger, False Friendship, and Affairs.” The programme was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dr. N. Tamilselvan, Ph.D., Principal, Palar Agricultural College.

  1. Chief Guest & Resource Person

The session was led by Ms. Farhath Aura, ICTC Counselor from the Government Hospital, Pernambut, who served as the chief guest and resource person.

  1. Objectives & Session Details

The primary aim of the programme was to educate students about the various psychological, social, and behavioral challenges encountered during adolescence. Ms. Farhath Aura provided valuable insights on:

  • The severe ill-effects of drug abuse on physical and mental health.
  • The negative impact of excessive mobile phone usage on academic performance and social life.
  • Techniques for managing anger and controlling emotions.
  • Identifying the pitfalls of false friendships and navigating personal affairs.
  • The importance of building healthy relationships and maintaining self-discipline in both academic and personal spheres.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating by sharing their perspectives and seeking clarifications on issues related to emotional well-being and responsible behavior.
